LE CIME
Luxury Brand

Logo Design, Website Design and Social Media

Brief:
Create luxury brand, including name, logo, website design/development, and social media.

Brand Ethos:
Luxury, Distinguished, Quality

Inspiration:
When naming, I went with ‘Le Cime’ (french for ‘The Top’) because the purpose of the brand is to celebrate the top design in all areas of art, culture, and fashion. The ‘Le’ is usually used for masculine, and ‘Cime’ is considered feminine, and I playfully combined the two to create a balance of both. I believe that tension is always present in good design.

Logo Design:
For the graphic design, I wanted to remain simple and elevated. For the logotype and font I chose Baskerville. I thought about high-end luxury fashion labels like Celine, Maison Margiela, The Row, and Hermes, and how their simple, perfectly spaced typefaces create an immediate feeling of wealth, quality, artfulness, and cleanliness. A wealthy calm. That was what I wanted for Le Cime - a bold and classic logotype that was to be recognizable and respected. The dot on the ‘i’ in ‘Cime’ is a little higher than any other letters, slightly nodding to the overall meaning of the phrase; “the top”.

Social media:
I manage the art direction and social engagement on INSTAGRAM and TUMBLR. I was able to organically build an instagram following of 100,000 followers in 15 months, with about 1,000,000 weekly impressions. I select photos that reflect the brand aesthetic and ethos. I aim to develop a following interested in a similar aesthetic and level of taste.

I am also responsible for brand partnerships and paid promotions on the website. I collaborate with brands in the design, art and fashion space.

Website:
The current website is HERE. I am building another website from scratch, but this is the current landing site so I can generate more interest and gather email information for future promotional newsletters and events. The website is currently seeing 100 unique users daily.

Newsletter:
Le Cime has a monthly newsletter that highlights top products and design in the industry. I create these using photoshop and custom code the newsletter on Mailchimp with HTML and CSS.
