Furniture ShowroomWebsite Design & Development
Brief:
Designed and built website for furniture showroom. Currently a mock site.
Inspiration:
For the design, I pulled inspiration from similar design showrooms. The products and photography were to be the main focus. Live website HERE.
Brand Ethos:
Simple, Minimal, High Quality, Expensive, Exclusive
Design:
To achieve a web-based catalog feel, I wanted the primary focus to be the high-quality images with minimal, clean descriptions. The goal of the site is to showcase the inventory of the showroom and to garner interest and promote inquiries. To add depth and richness to the website, I made soft transitions and created a deep, black background with minimal white text. I wanted a heavy, focused feeling on the images and purpose of the website.
Build:
I built the website from scratch using atom, Git version control, Sass/Css3, HTML5, and Javascript. The raw code can be viewed on github, HERE.
